Christopher Eric Carrillo - Trip To Nairobi, Kenya August 2025

 

"I had a great time going with my wife Gladys Atieno Ojiambo to Nairobi, Kenya for my first visit to her country...and to meet her family for the first time in August 2025.

Ever since we first married in April 2022, its always been my goal to meet her family and the opportunity finally arrived.

The journey from USA in North America, stopping in Europe, before traveling across Africa to my wifes country was incredible.

Arriving at the airport in Nairobi, she met up with me and we took an Uber to our rental where we stayed together over night.

 

After getting to explore Nairobi abit and visit the Giraffe Center, we traveled to meet her family and had a great time.

Once there, I was given her father's blessung in a sense, encouraged to learn the culture more, and ultimately agreed upon a dowry (bride price) that I will give to my wifes family per tradition (customary).

We even got to ride on motor bikes, pet giraffes, ride on a bus, stay in hotels, and flew on Kenyas Jambo Jet back to Nairobi together."
